Egality: Embryonic aseity

09/01/13  ||  Cobal

I’ve previously marked the fact that writing reviews for a metal webzine is a hard, hard job. I’ve also mentioned before that sometimes, hard work pays off, especially when one comes across particularly interesting releases that would have been fully overlooked otherwise. “Embryonic aseity” is one of those albums that catches you with your pants off. Frankly, I was expecting a generic release of blasphemous yet lame metal and what I got was an almost experimental work of hardcore oriented progressive/extreme music. Yes, Egality are strongly bound to metal in many ways, and the way they combine influences and make them make sense is quite amusing. If you are into modern approached releases of the independent type, it won’t hurt checking this out.

8/10: Interesting. Perhaps we should keep an eye on these guys in the near future.
